The grinder is hand-made by professional hand-craftsmen in Cairo, using Asersus wood. It is a very rare kind of wood that is only found in some areas of Egypt and India. It is found in a wide range in Upper Egypt, especially in Kom Ombo and Aswan. This wood is featured with it is high strength and durability, as well as its beautiful colors and shapes.
