Our papyrus is Royal and different from any papyrus in the market. Thus, we have a license from the Government to follow the same process of planting it as Ancient Egyptian. The thick reeds of the papyrus plant are cut into equal lengths strips, which were laid side by side at a right angle. One layer is laid horizontally over the other and pressure is applied to them for two weeks to produce dark-colored Papyrus.
