The scene depicts king Ramses II (1279 BC to 1213 BC) the greatest pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. He is the youngest king in Egyptian history as he ruled Egypt at the age of 25 years old. He is making offerings to Gods and Goddess, asking for forgiveness and blessing before the war of Kadesh.
Our papyrus is a royal handmade Egyptian papyrus. It is planted on shallow freshwater, following the same progress of producing sheets from the thick reeds of the plant of the papyrus.
The scene on the Papyrus is hand-painted by Egyptian artists. They use Gouache paint which is royal paint used by the Ancient Egyptian artists. It is a combination of water and oil colors to give the scene its originality and value. Gouache paint has a heavy and lovely texture that absorbs light rather than reflecting it, creating a very smooth appearance. This makes it ideal for opaque coverage.
