Unique masterpiece handcrafted Egyptian papyrus of Nut during the Journey of the night in the underworld.

The scene refers to the Ancient Egyptian myth of Goddess Nut and “the journey of the night”. Nut is the Egyptian sky-goddess and the mother of the sun. It was believed that the Goddess Nut was swallowing the sun at the end of the day, bringing the night to the earth. The sky was divided into seven levels and the sun settled in the sixth level inside the body of Nut. The sun was going all over the body of Nut until it went out again the next day. In the other levels of the sky, we can see 36 men who represented the 36 weeks of the year as believed in the Ancient Egyptian myth. The 36 weeks are multiplied into 10 days of the week, as they believed the week has 10 days, so we will get 360 days. To the 360 days, we can add another 5 men to get the 365 days of the year. In the last part of the scene, we can see the Ancient Egyptian Alphabet starting with the Anch.
Nut in Ancient Egyptian history is the Goddess of the sky. She was depicted in the history as a star-covered nude woman, arching over the earth, Nut also in some scenes was depicted as a cow or a woman wearing cow throne. Her body was the sky and the heavens where the sun was sat at night. She is mainly the daughter of Shu and Tefnut.

The artwork is painted with Onyx stone powder, to increase its value and original state. this kind of paint was used by ancient Egyptian artists to draw on the walls of temples and tombs. Onyx powder is made of crushed gemstones that is why it is a royal and rich one.
